Testimonial from François
Can you go back over your career?
Trained as an engineer, I started out in information systems at a wholesale distributor before joining the Philips Group. I worked in various roles, from project manager to production unit manager and then supply chain manager at a TV assembly site. These experiences gave me a comprehensive overview of industrial operations.
When did you join Thuasne®?
I joined Thuasne® in 2005. At the time I was looking for a company of human size, dedicated to maintaining production in France. The welcome and team spirit immediately won me over.
How has your career evolved within the Group?
Since joining the company, I have progressed within the supply chain management team, with responsibilities tailored to the Group's various stages of development. For a time, I was also responsible for managing information systems, a highly complementary experience that enabled me to better link tools and operational performance.
What are your responsibilities today?
I coordinate all flows, from the procurement of raw materials to the delivery of products to customers. This covers both upstream, to guarantee product availability, and downstream, to ensure their distribution under the best conditions.
What moments have particularly marked your career at Thuasne®?
The Group's strong growth between 2005 and 2020 was very stimulating: every year brought new challenges. The COVID and post-COVID periods were also intense and have profoundly transformed the way we work. Finally, international development has given the role a new dimension.
What are you most proud of in your career?
I helped to structure key processes, such as the industrial and commercial plan, and to deploy high-performance logistics tools. But my greatest source of pride remains the work I do with my teams and the long-term relationships I have built with people.
What have you learned from these years?
In difficult times, it’s the quality of the team that makes the difference. My collaboration with the former purchasing director and the former group operations director has been a real driving force.
How do you see the future, personally and for Thuasne®?
As I approach retirement, I would like to thank the Group for the trust it has placed in me. Many challenges await Thuasne® in a demanding international environment. My successor will be able to take on these challenges, introduce new methods, and continue to develop the role towards an increasingly international position.
