Thuasne®, a French flagship that has become an international player

From a French company to an international group in six generations
Thuasne® is present on five continents through its 18 subsidiaries and nearly 200 distributors.
The opening of the first subsidiary in Belgium in 1984 laid the foundations for an international expansion strategy that accelerated in 1991 with the arrival of Elizabeth Ducottet as Chairman and CEO.
Under her leadership, and later that of her daughter Delphine Hanton, Thuasne® made a number of strategic acquisitions and opened subsidiaries abroad, enabling the Group to establish a solid foothold in the European, American and Asian markets.
This strategy is paying off, as Thuasne® now generates 50% of its revenue outside France.

Global industrial capability
Thuasne® has 16 production sites and three logistics centers in Europe, North America and Africa. Four of its five historic sites in France are located in Saint-Étienne, the industrial cradle of medical technology. This strong territorial network allows the Group to maintain control over its value chain and its technologies, from design to distribution.
Thanks to its in-house expertise and the acquisition of reputable companies, Thuasne® has expanded its industrial capabilities and now offers a comprehensive range of processes and materials. In this way, the Group adapts to the strict regulatory requirements and local specificities of the healthcare sector. This results in technical solutions tailored to the needs of patients around the world.
This international presence allows Thuasne® to be closer to its priority markets, reducing delivery times and CO2 emissions.

Providing access to healthcare for as many people as possible
Thuasne® markets its solutions in 110 countries through its 16 sales subsidiaries and a network of nearly 200 distributors.
This international expansion was achieved through the creation of subsidiaries and targeted strategic acquisitions, enabling the Group to establish a solid foothold in the European, American, and Asian markets.
Thuasne® aims to strengthen its presence in North America and Asia. This is reflected in the recent acquisitions of the distributor Medical Rehab in Australia and of Corflex Inc. in the USA. This is the Group's fifth acquisition in the United States since 2011.

International R&D expertise
Innovation is part of Thuasne®'s historical culture, it is a mindset shared by all employees. To invent the solutions of tomorrow, the Group relies on its four research and development (R&D) centers based in France, Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom.
This geographical diversity gives Thuasne® a wide range of expertise, enabling it to offer innovative medical devices adapted to each market.
In France, the Thuasne® Lab is driving the Group’s digital transformation. Engineers develop digital projects and connected objects in close collaboration with R&D and start-ups. Its mission: to open up innovation to new technologies.
