Can you tell us about your career at Thuasne?
In 2015, I was actively looking for an export area manager’s position. I applied to Thuasne for the Volunteer for International Experience scheme as sales manager based in Melbourne for Australia, Indonesia and New Zealand. Although I had received several offers, I chose Thuasne as I liked the health sector, the quality of the product portfolio, and the down-to earth nature of my reps more than anything. At the end of my Volunteer for International Experience, I was given the opportunity to become sales manager for the Asia-Pacific area. You have held this position for 6 years and are being promoted soon.
Can you tell us more about that?
Of course! Thanks to Thuasne acquiring one of our distributors in Australia, it will be setting up a new subsidiary in the coming months. I’ll therefore become general manager of Thuasne Pacific. I’ll steer integrating the subsidiary within the Group as well as implementing our policies. For that, I’ll be working closely with the Australian teams, international management and several departments like legal, finance and marketing.
What makes you feel the most enthusiastic about this new position?
That would definitely be how Thuasne is scaling up internationally and having our visibility develop in the Asia-Pacific area, which I’ve been working towards since I joined Thuasne.
What do you love doing outside work?
Extreme sports. I go mountain biking and wakeboarding regularly. Doing these two activities has enabled me to hone my precision and how I handle stressful situations. Those are both qualities that I can easily use in my work.
What do you expect from Thuasne in the years to come?
For the Group, I hope international development continues, along with developing our product portfolio thanks to acquiring new expertise. More personally, I hope Thuasne supports me in developing my geographic area and increasing my skills.
“Thuasne will create a new subsidiary in the coming months. I’ll therefore become director of Thuasne Pacific.”
